Pierce Middle School Principal Earns MSAA 2024 Honor

Dr. William Fish, Principal at the Pierce Middle School in Milton, MA has been chosen as the MSAA Middle School Principal of the Year. 

A graduate of the University of Connecticut and Eastern Nazarene College, Dr. Fish received his doctorate from Northeastern University in 2021. Having served as the Principal at Pierce Middle School since 2019, Dr. Fish is an accomplished and veteran school leader. Prior to his leadership role at Pierce, Fish was the Principal at Norwell High School (2011-2019) and Assistant Principal at Sharon High School (2007-2011). Dr. Fish started his career in education as a math teacher in Southington, CT before coming to Massachusetts in the same role at Sharon High School.

During his time at Pierce Middle School, Dr. Fish highlighted his tremendous students who are taught by a talented faculty and supported by a great community. He thanked the efforts of an "entire community" and although he is the proud recipient of this prestigious award, was quick to share that everyone in his school plays a major role in the success of the school.

In his first five years at Pierce, he has been able to collaborate with colleagues to build a professional culture characterized by trust and open communication. 

Dr. Fish lives in Milton with his wife Talin, and four daughters, Victoria, Sophie, Katie, and Lily.
