 Time is a precious resource in the fast-paced world of education, and effective time management can be a game-changer for school principals. In this dynamic workshop, we will explore the strategies and tools necessary to make the most of every minute, unlocking your potential as a school leader.

This workshop is designed to equip principals with the skills needed to navigate the complex demands of their roles while simultaneously driving school improvement. Through a combination of practical exercises, real-world case studies, and collaborative discussions, participants will gain insights and techniques to enhance their time management capabilities.

Dr. Armand Pires | Medway Public Schools

Dr. Armand Pires has served as Superintendent of Schools in Medway, Massachusetts since 2015. He has also served as Assistant Superintendent, Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher at the Middle and High School levels in districts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Pires holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Rhode Island, a Master of Public Health from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science from Rhode Island College. Armand’s research and professional interests include equity, systems improvement, leadership development, and student mental health. 

In addition to his work in Medway, Armand is an active professional who currently serves as the President-elect of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents, adjunct professor at Curry College, and former Co-President of the Tri-County Superintendents’ Roundtable. He has also recently co-authored a book on superintendent leadership entitled: “From Surviving to Thriving: Resources and Practical Strategies for New, Aspiring, and Veteran Superintendents.”

Dr. Rich Drolet | King Philip Regional School District
Dr. Rich Drolet is entering his 1st year as Superintendent of Schools for the King Philip Regional School District. Prior to joining King Philip, Rich served 5 years as the Superintendent of schools in Seekonk. Prior to that, he worked as a middle school principal and curriculum director for the Uxbridge Public Schools. A former recipient of Rhode Island's Middle School Principal of the Year, he brings over 20 years of experience in the field of education having held various roles including classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, curriculum director, and superintendent of schools. Rich holds a doctorate in educational leadership, a certificate of advanced graduate studies in school administration, a master’s degree in teaching, and a bachelor’s in sociology.
