Attorney Cat Lyons is nationally recognized as a leader in School Law and is presenting this year with a focus on school discipline, an update on the most recent Case Law, and a segment on Sexual and Race Discrimination claims. Attorney Lyons is energetic, enthusiastic and carries a vast amount of knowledge with her to each presentation. A favorite of the MSAA, Attorney Lyons uses real life situations and cases to illustrate her points and allows questions from the audience to clarify individual situations. Catherine L. Lyons, Esq. | Lyons Law Group, LLC Attorney Catherine “Cat” Lyons is a graduate of New England School of Law, magna cum laude, and represents school districts exclusively in all aspects of education law before state and federal agencies, as well as in state and federal court, with a particular emphasis on special education matters. Cat has a Master's in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Texas Tech University and was previously employed as a certified speech-language pathologist in both the private and public sectors prior to becoming an attorney. Cat is the Co-Chair of the annual Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education School Law Conference and is a member of the Massachusetts Council of School Attorneys, as well as the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys. She also represents school districts in special education and related general education matters. |
